Hermitage Missouri’s Damsite Campground was home for the last two weeks of July. Weather: hot, humid. Good time to stay inside in air conditioning and sew. I needed to catch up on creating more placemats and use up a big, fat jellyroll of autumn colors I picked up in Columbia, MO. The red/gold collection I call “Autumn Reds” and I managed to create two 18″ and one 14″ zippered and trimmed quilted throw pillows. Backing on the pillows (and placemats) is a cream poly cotton fabric. I love the Tropical Blues collection of pillows and placemats. I only had a bit of the gorgeous dark/light blue floral designer fabric and used it all up in two 16″ throw pillow fronts and one set of placemat fronts.
Leaving Hermitage area, we are only a short bit away at Branson, MO waiting for friends from Arizona and another couple from Missouri to meet us for 5 days of fun (and, no sewing). While waiting I designed, cut and measured 10 pillow covers getting ready to sew them in a week.
